Hip-hop legends Krept & Konan, known for their award-winning music and entrepreneurial spirit, are stepping into a new arena with the launch of Saveways, a groundbreaking supermarket in Croydon. Located on Beddington Lane, next to Asda, Saveways is designed to serve underserved communities, offering a blend of cultural inclusivity and modern convenience.

Saveways is set to cater to a diverse range of shoppers with its extensive selection of global produce, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and ethnic foods across tinned, chilled, and frozen categories. In addition, the supermarket will offer essential household goods, skincare products, cosmetics, beauty items, and Afro haircare products, ensuring that all community needs are met under one roof.
Equipped with advanced retail technology, Saveways will feature NCR self-serve kiosks, click-and-collect options, and partnerships with delivery platforms like Uber Eats and Deliveroo. With parking space for over 30 vehicles, the supermarket promises accessibility and efficiency for all customers.
This latest venture is a continuation of Krept & Konan’s dedication to community representation and empowerment. Over their 20-year music career, the duo has garnered a BET Award, five MOBO Awards, and collaborated with global icons such as Ed Sheeran, Drake, Stormzy, and Central Cee. Their commitment to their roots earned them British Empire Medals (BEMs) in 2020 for their contributions to music and the Croydon community.

Beyond music, Krept & Konan have established themselves as successful entrepreneurs. They launched Crepes & Cones, a popular dessert restaurant, and Nala’s Baby, an award-winning natural baby skincare line that is now a bestseller in major UK supermarkets and one of Boots’ fastest-growing brands.
Speaking about their vision for Saveways, Krept & Konan said:
“It’s an honor for us to partner up on this venture. We are all about representation in the community and finding solutions. Saveways is game-changing for our community, and we are excited to bring this vision to life.”

Co-founder Kaysor Ali echoed their sentiments, stating:
“Together, we’ve combined our skills, networks, and passion to create a supermarket experience that not only serves the community but sets a new standard for quality, inclusivity, and excellence in the UK food retail space. Saveways is more than just a supermarket—it’s a statement of culture, unity, and progress for our communities.”
With Saveways, Krept & Konan are not just redefining retail but also creating a space that uplifts and empowers their community. Their latest venture stands as a testament to their commitment to innovation, representation, and progress for the people they serve.
